or "How Mr Kipling won at customer service".
Let me tell you a story.
A couple of days ago Mr Kipling posted on their facebook page a picture of their Jam and Custard slices with the caption "Jam and Custard go together like ________". I commented on this picture, one of hundreds of commenters, saying "like Mr Kipling and my mouth" and mentioned that I was sad my local store didn't stock these. To my surprise I got a message saying that if I told them where to send it they would send me a box to try. This morning, this box of awesome and the super kind message landed on my doorstep.
I'd like to add that Mr Kipling have no idea I have a blog, and thus don't expect (and will likely never see) this post. They didn't send me the cakes so I'd write about them, or publicise how awesome they are, even if I am doing it. They just saw that I couldn't get this particular variety of cake and wanted to try them, and sent me some as a kind gesture. They are just a genuinely awesome company.
Oh and for the record, Jam and Custard slices taste AMAZING.
Yum yum! (terrible late night photography, delicious delicious cake)
