L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara Review

First the packaging, I love this packaging it's fun and eye catching without looking childish(quite the opposite) and I really like the touch of using the colour of the mascara for the name on the lid. It means if you bought more than one of the colours it would be easy to tell them apart whilst they still all look consistent.

I like this brush, I'm a fan of bristled mascara brushes and this one is big enough for me without being too chunky. It easily coats all the lashes and I can get into the inner corners and onto the lower lashes without too much trouble using the narrower end.

The colour is where this one falls down a bit. While it looks lovely and bright in the packaging and on the brush, it dries down dark and looks practically black from a distance. If I've taken pictures of looks without noting the mascara I used then I can have a bit of trouble differentiating this from my other (black) mascaras. This effect may be lessened if you have very pale lashes in the first place.

On my lashes I find this both volumises and lengthens, it does make a noticeable change to how my lashes look as you can see (yes I am reusing an old bare lashes picture, apologies but you get the comparison this way). I haven't personally noticed any flaking or migration during the day and it isn't too hard to remove at the end of the day.

L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara is available from Boots, Superdrug and anywhere else L'Oreal is sold, with an RRP of £8.99. I really reccommend picking it up, it's a great mascara and more than worth the price.

Maybelline Falsies Black Drama Swatch and Review

So I'm a sucker for a good mascara, and I picked this one up one lunch break. I really like Maybelline mascaras and good long, dark, voluminous lashes, which is what this promised. I was torn between this and one of the Colossal line mascaras, which I think will be my next purchase unless Max Factor Clump Defy goes on sale.

As with most Maybelline mascaras the packaging is attractive, a hot pink with a pretty lace design around the cap, and makes it easy to spot in my drawer even on dark winter mornings. The brush with this is the curved spoon type as seen in the other Falsies mascaras I've used.

As you can see it adds impressive length and volume even with just one coat, though maybe not as voluminous as false lashes. I'm yet to build this up or layer it with other mascaras, but I imagine it will work really well. Apparently it's easy to get onto your eyelids too, sorry! You can see the effect on the lashes though.

Maybelline Falsies costs £7.99 and is available from Boots, Superdrug and anywhere else Maybelline is sold.

L'Oreal Volume Million Express Noir Review and Swatch

L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Express Noir

I got this a while back and totally forgot to review it, sorry!

Packaging

The packaging for this is actually really great. It's a striking metallic red with a black stripe and it does look really good in my make up drawer, makes it easy to spot and pull out in the morning when I'm only just about functional. It's a nice shape and easy to hold. The brush is one of those spiky ones I know tends to split people into love/hate. Personally I'm indifferent, and it works well enough without poking me in the eye or smudging stuff all over my bottom lid or cheek.

Positives

Lashes are lengthened and volumised to a degree. You can definitely tell a difference, as you'll see below.
It doesn't smudge or flake, so your lashes look great all day.

Negatives

This smells really bad to me. I'm pretty sure it's just the product itself, since I bought it brand new and it smelled like that the day I opened it. But really, it smells bad.
Not as volumising as you'd believe from the name, I'm pretty sure my Maybelline Falsies was better.
The price! It's pretty much £11. Maybe it's just me but I don't want to pay that much for a mascara, not unless it's totally ground breaking, which this isn't.

Swatch

Or any recent looks, this is my daily mascara

Overall

It's a decent mascara, but not as good as I'd want for the price. Especially when I can get mascaras that I prefer for less. I think I'll stick to my Maybelline next time.

Availability

Priced at £10.99 and available wherever L'Oreal is sold, including Boots, Superdrug and most major supermarkets.
