Mr Kipling Really Are Exceedingly Good

or "How Mr Kipling won at customer service".

Let me tell you a story.

A couple of days ago Mr Kipling posted on their facebook page a picture of their Jam and Custard slices with the caption "Jam and Custard go together like ________". I commented on this picture, one of hundreds of commenters, saying "like Mr Kipling and my mouth" and mentioned that I was sad my local store didn't stock these. To my surprise I got a message saying that if I told them where to send it they would send me a box to try. This morning, this box of awesome and the super kind message landed on my doorstep.

I'd like to add that Mr Kipling have no idea I have a blog, and thus don't expect (and will likely never see) this post. They didn't send me the cakes so I'd write about them, or publicise how awesome they are, even if I am doing it. They just saw that I couldn't get this particular variety of cake and wanted to try them, and sent me some as a kind gesture. They are just a genuinely awesome company.

Oh and for the record, Jam and Custard slices taste AMAZING.

Yum yum! (terrible late night photography, delicious delicious cake)

  3. Cakes? For free? What is this witchcraft?! Sounds like they're a decent company that would genuinely just send out a product even to non-bloggers (or non-obvious bloggers in your case). Glad you enjoyed them, although my mouth is now watering like nobody's business... xx

    1. Delicious, delicious cake. I'm really impressed with Mr Kipling as a brand, not just because they sent me free cake, but because they're so kind! It was sheer generosity rather than something with expectations attatched, which is something you see so rarely now.
