You've
probably seen this theme floating about all over the blogosphere. I
really enjoy reading Kloe's really
in depth posts
(which you can find here)
for each letter, as well all the awesome list style posts that people
often do for this. I think it's a fantastic way to get to know the
person behind the blog outside of their stylistic/beauty choices or
fun experiences. So I decided to get in on the fun (naturally). I'll
be posting a letter a week, every Sunday, I hope you find these
interesting.
A
Aquarius
– my starsign! I'm not a big believer in horoscopes or anything,
and by not a big believer I mean I'm a total sceptic, but it's a part
of who I am and I will admit that many of the traits generally
associated with this sign (at least the ones that popped up in the
first few google links I clicked) are traits that I recognise and
associate with myself. So I guess I am more Aquarian than I realise,
outside of just being born at the right time of year!
Amethyst
– Okay it's my birthstone,
but Amethyst is also one of my favourite gemstones regardless. I
really love them. Apparently the stone can aid with addiction, grief
and providing calm and balance, not sure how much of that I believe
but none of it can hurt.
Antisocial
– I'm a kind of antisocial
person, I don't mean to be but I get really uncomfortable in big
groups and loud spaces and really I'm pretty shy. All of this, plus a
few other things, leads to me more often than not backing out of
social events like parties even though I signed up with every
intention of being there.
ASMR
– It stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (which after
much trying and failing actually has a wikipedia page now
read it here).
I'm sure I've mentioned this before but in case you missed it and
don't want to read the wiki, ASMR is the term for thise tingles you
get when you hear certain sounds. It's not sexual, as is the common
mistake on youtube apparently, just pleasant and I find it extremely
relaxing. I listen to the videos before I go to sleep/while I'm
trying to sleep if it's a dodgy day or if I'm stressed out and it
really helps.
Animals
– I have always been an animal person more than a people person.
When I was little I used to chase after sheep in the Yorkshire Dales
because I wanted to hug them and be friends with them, and two of my
favourite places to visit when we went to my grandparents house were
Woburn Safari Park and Whipsnade Zoo. Even now if you stick me in a
room with five people and three animals, I'll hang with the animals
first.
What are some of your A things?
This is a great idea for a post! I'm antisocial too, haha. Somebody tried to talk to me today in a shop and it made me distressed ha.
