One day I will paint my nails and not ruin them. One day. Colours here are a George gold that I can't spot the name of, Barry M Emerald Green and Barry M Malibu. Black lines are the black Barry M nail art pen.

52 Week Pick n Mix: Geometric
& Blue, Green, Yellow (or in my case yellowy-gold, close enough). I wasn't sure what geometric nail art entailed and I possibly got it wrong, but aside from the massive dents I didn't mind this one too much.

52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge: Purple Hearts
I need to do more fun nail stuff so, after the lovely Katie over at Katie's Lost and Found (fyi you should totally go check out her awesome nail art) suggested it to me, I've started dipping into Crumpet's 52 Week Pick n Mix Nail Art Challenge, which can be found on the Crumpet's Nail Tarts group. I can't promise I'll do all the weeks, mostly because I'm totally lazy and also because I might not have the stuff. Though the idea is there are two prompts and you can either do one of them, or both of them (either combined or as two separate manis if you have the time). It makes more sense if you read the doc on the group.
This week (9th Feb) the challenge was purple and/or hearts. I can do purple and I can do hearts so I combined the two :). It's not the greatest or the neatest manicure I've ever done, but a step up from the just one or two colours I've been doing recently. Besides, it's getting back into it that counts for me right now.
Anyway, onto the pictures. They're not great, and I'd managed to snag my nails with no time to repaint, but you'll get the jist.
Polishes used: Barry M Plum as a base, with Barry M Silvery Lilac over the thumb and pinkie. Ring finger has a coat of Barry M Caspian, the hearts are George Molten Metals in Pirate and Barry M Silvery Lilac (though you can't see those much). Black outlines were done with the Barry M Nail Art Pen.
My collection is indeed 90% Barry M, what gives it away? haha. Anyway, I hope you liked.

GOT Polish: Chevrons [and Nails Inc Old Park Lane swatch!]
Another polish that could have been better but fell casualty to time. I really liked the idea for the middle finger but it just didn't work out for me. C'est la vie, hopefully you guys can see where the ideas were.
Used: Nails Inc Old Park Lane for a base, George Twister on top.
Since Old Park Lane is such a beautiful colour, here are some bonus swatches:
I do love a good metallic and this is a stunner.

Not sure if I blogged these nails before, but this was my first attempt at butterfly wings

Nail Art: Leopard Print, Stripes and Geometric
Just a couple of nail looks I remembered to photograph this week. Must remember to take more photos of nails [and do more pretty nail art!]
Geometric patterns with a stud and leopard accent nail. Used Barry M Copper, Collection Gothic Glam polish in Dramatic and Collection Hot Looks polish in All That Jazz with a cheap black Nail Art pen. The leopard print base colour was Rimmel Space Dust Aurora with Collection Dramatic for the spots and again the black nail art pen.
This look was inspired by a combination of The Nailsaurus' Center Stripe manicure and Brit Nails' Leopard Underneath manicure. Base colour was Barry M Blueberry, with Models Own Aqua Violet and Barry M Silver Multi Glitter gradient over it. Leopard print was done with George Pirate and nail art pen. The black around the stripes is Barry M Matte in Espresso [swatches coming soon!].
So what do you think? Would you guys like more nail posts when I get time? I know I'm not much of an artist but I do enjoy nail time.

Supernatural Makeup; Crowley
"Was a punk-ass crossroads demon. Now? King of hell".
Crowley was the son of a witch, who may or may not have sold his soul for an extra three inches. He worked his way up hell's bureaucratic ladder, from Crossroads demon to King of the Crossroads and Lillith's right hand man to, finally, King of Hell. He's sold sin to saints for centuries and will happily [if you ignore the snark and innuendo] work with anyone to get his way, from siding with the Winchesters to stick the Devil back in his cage, to working with Castiel to get to Purgatory. Just... don't get in his way. As a witches son and a powerful demon he can really make you pay if he needs to, as many have found to their cost. Oh, and don't bother with hellhounds, his is bigger ;)
Crowley is my favourite Supernatural character, and pretty much has been since he first turned up.I do love a good villain, even if Mark Sheppard refuses to believe Crowley is evil. He's just so awesome, he's funny with his sarcasm and snark and love of making people feel uncomfortable, he's one of the smartest characters on the show AND he can really be wicked when he wants to. Seriously, tick him off and you're totally and utterly screwed. He even managed to cross Castiel AND Dick Roman. The man is a genius, and he looks gooood in his suit. Crowley is a snappy dresser, despite demons eating his tailor. His nicknames for the boys are great, Moose and Squirrel [he loves Moose really], and his breakdown in the finale... oh lord the tears. He watches HBO, who knew? Seriously, I could go on for days about how much I adore Crowley.
Oh and no, I have not forgiven Sam for what he did to my Crowley or his pup =[.
"Submit or die? What are you, French?"
Used:
Geek Chic Hellfire on inner lid, Fyrinnae Scarlet Macaw on rest of lid and as the heart, Geek Chic King of Hell on outer corner and crease, George liner and eyebrow pencil, Maybelline falsies mascara.
Not a song, just, Crowley's is bigger. I love him, and his dog [Growley apparently]
ps. If all goes well, Mark Sheppard will be at Asylum 12 next May... guess who else will be there? I'm excited already!

Supernatural Makeup: Sam Winchester
"Last I checked, it wasn't the road to heaven that was paved with good intentions."
Sam Winchester just wanted to be normal. Sadly, that was doomed from the start, even before he was born his future had been laid out. He tried so hard to get out away from the Hunter's way of life but hell had other plans and his College degree and girlfriend all went up in flames. It's been a bit downhill since then, between the demon blood, Lucifer and his terrible choices in women, poor Sammy really has had a bad time of it. And in the end all he wanted was to not let his big brother down.
Sam, with his laptop and his majestic mane of hair, is every bit as loveable as Dean. He's my second favourite Winchester. He's the nerd of the family, but he still kicks ass and looks good doing it. And yes, there are aspects of Sam I totally relate to as well. Like not wanting to let anyone down, and being the nerdy one. Poor Sam had such a hard life, but his character arc over the eight seasons so far has been amazing. He might not be my favourite brother, but the Moose will always hold a place in my heart. [and Jared Padaleki is too big to fit in the TARDIS, this is an endless source of a-moose-ment for me source]
"No, not really. We have guns and we will find you."
Used:
Femme Fatale Candied Apple on inner corner, Black Rose Minerals One Does Not Simply across lid,
Black Rose Minerals Scabbed Wings on outer corner, Femme Fatale Unholy in crease. George black liquid liner.
Song for Sam, self explanitory if you've seen Seasons 4 & 5.

Supernatural Makeup; Dean Winchester
"I hope your apple pie is freakin' worth it!"
I couldn't do a Supernatural makeup series and forget the Winchesters!
*spoilers*
Dean Winchester, the Righteous Man, the Hunter, the Vessel. He just wanted to make his Daddy proud, take care of Sammy and eat pie, but this is Supernatural and things never go as planned. Instead he's been wanted by the police, sent to Hell, inadvertently helped start the apocalypse. And that's before we get to the brother problems...
Dean is my favourite Winchester, not because I think he's the most attractive but because I relate to him a lot. Especially as far as being fine and chick-flick moments go. And trying to impress a parent. Dean is also the funnier brother [sorry Sam!], well, aside from *that* bit at the start of Season 6. He's a hero, even when he doesn't want to be one. And even if things sometimes fall apart around, or because of, him, he's still done pretty well for a guy with a G.E.D and a give 'em hell attitude.
"My name is Dean Winchester. I'm an Aquarius. I enjoy sunsets, long
walks on the beach, and frisky women. And I did not kill anyone."
Used:
Victorian Disco Fallen Survivor on inner corner, Geek Chic Inevitable Betrayal over lid, Black Rose Minerals Scarab on outer corner and crease. Glitter is Victorian Disco Wazoooooo!. Liners are George liquid liner is gold and black.

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Famine
When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come and see!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!"The third horseman is Famine on the black horse. Possibly not my favourite look, drawing weighing scales is hard. Forgot to do lips for this, sorry.

Used: Maybelline Color Tattoo in Timeless Black as a base, Geek Chic Blasphemous on the inner corner, Black Rose Minerals Jet on the outer half of the lid, Darling Girl ON-X in the crease, MUA Gel liner in Underground and George liner in silver.
Couldn't for the life of me get the camera to pick up the glitter in ON-X, I took a million and six pictures, none caught it. Boo!

Four Horsemen of the Apocolypse: War
When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come and see!" Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.War is the second horseman, he rides the red horse. So for this look I used a lot of reds, the gold is taken from Supernatural's War - he wears a gold ring. Plus I feel it really compliments the red. I really liked this look to be honest :)

Iron Man Inspired Makeup
Marvelle at Blog of Shadows amazing Iron Man look inspired me to have a go at creating my own.
Mine isn't quite as cool but I used Victorian Disco Cosmetics Sailor Galaxia for the gold in the center of my lid, with Fyrinnae's Scarlet Macaw as the red around the outside. Eyeliner is Collection 2000 Glam Metallics in Punk with George Metallic blue on the waterline. The blue mascara is from Collection 2000 also.
I think this is a pretty fun and bright look. I was pleasantly surprised with how well it turned out, though I needed a darker red really. Ah well, what do you think? Anyone else an Iron Man fan?

Sailor Mercury
I did this for Toxid-Lotus's makeup challenge, you can see the other entries and this week's theme here
I really need to start writing down what I use. I know the white is MUA single in 1, and the symbol was drawn using George liner in metallic blue. I think the blue is Bubblebeam but don't quote me on that.

Just a couple of looks from this week, including a couple of challenge looks. I tried my best to remember what I've used but forgive me if I get anything wrong.
