One day I will paint my nails and not ruin them. One day. Colours here are a George gold that I can't spot the name of, Barry M Emerald Green and Barry M Malibu. Black lines are the black Barry M nail art pen.

52 Week Pick n Mix: Geometric
& Blue, Green, Yellow (or in my case yellowy-gold, close enough). I wasn't sure what geometric nail art entailed and I possibly got it wrong, but aside from the massive dents I didn't mind this one too much.

52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge: Purple Hearts
I need to do more fun nail stuff so, after the lovely Katie over at Katie's Lost and Found (fyi you should totally go check out her awesome nail art) suggested it to me, I've started dipping into Crumpet's 52 Week Pick n Mix Nail Art Challenge, which can be found on the Crumpet's Nail Tarts group. I can't promise I'll do all the weeks, mostly because I'm totally lazy and also because I might not have the stuff. Though the idea is there are two prompts and you can either do one of them, or both of them (either combined or as two separate manis if you have the time). It makes more sense if you read the doc on the group.
This week (9th Feb) the challenge was purple and/or hearts. I can do purple and I can do hearts so I combined the two :). It's not the greatest or the neatest manicure I've ever done, but a step up from the just one or two colours I've been doing recently. Besides, it's getting back into it that counts for me right now.
Anyway, onto the pictures. They're not great, and I'd managed to snag my nails with no time to repaint, but you'll get the jist.
Polishes used: Barry M Plum as a base, with Barry M Silvery Lilac over the thumb and pinkie. Ring finger has a coat of Barry M Caspian, the hearts are George Molten Metals in Pirate and Barry M Silvery Lilac (though you can't see those much). Black outlines were done with the Barry M Nail Art Pen.
My collection is indeed 90% Barry M, what gives it away? haha. Anyway, I hope you liked.

Jinx Inspired Look
Jinx lives to wreak havoc without a thought for consequence, leaving a trail of mayhem and panic in her wake. A manic and impulsive criminal, she despises nothing more than boredom, and gleefully unleashes her own volatile brand of pandemonium to the one place she finds dullest: Piltover. With an arsenal of deadly toys, she unleashes the brightest explosions and loudest blasts - all the better to shock and surprise the hapless authorities. Always just out of the law's reach, Jinx's favorite game is to toy with Piltover's finest - especially Vi.from the League of Legends wiki. Her full lore is actually pretty long and interesting so do pop over there to read it!
for this I used: Victorian Disco Arda (pink) and Evenstar (blue) over the right and left lids respectively. For crease colours I used Black Rose Minerals Annabele Lee (blue) and Shiro Wheeeeeee! (pink), brows are Shiro Wheeeeeee! (pink) and Geek Chic Little Albatross (blue). For liner I used Barry M black glitter kohl liner. The glitter on the lids is Victorian Disco Barrett (blue) and Darling Girl Freaky Friday (pink)
This was tonnes of fun! What do you guys think? Are you LoL players and if so have you played Jinx yet?

Goth Annie
I'm taking part in the Dark Side of Beauty Monthly Challenge again! Well, when I saw it was League of Legends related I couldn't really say no. Admittedly I haven't played any games in a long time but I did enjoy it back in uni and I do like the aesthetics, even if most of the female champions suffer from female game character syndrome (unrealistic figures and extremely revealing outfits).
Used: Barry M Kohl pencil in Black glitter as a base over the entire lid, lipline and for the liner on the lower lid. Victorian Disco Halloween Town over the liner as a black shadow. Black Rose Minerals Unicorn in the center of the lid with Victorian Disco Riot Shield glitter patted over it (kept in place using Darling Girl Glitter Glue). Center lip colour was Shiro Cosmetics Yo Dawg.
As you may have guessed I took inspiration from the makeup Annie herself wears, with a bit extra glowy purple to add a little pzazz,
The character for week 1 is Goth Annie. Annie being the champion and Goth Annie being one of the available for purchase skins, which got a visual upgrade not so long ago as she was one of the original characters and as such had some very basic graphics. I have played Annie as a character fairly often, and she's immense fun, her ultimate can be pretty lethal - darned bear!
In the time shortly before the League, there were those within the sinister city-state of Noxus who did not agree with the evils perpetrated by the Noxian High Command. The High Command had just put down a coup attempt from the self-proclaimed Crown Prince Raschallion, and a crack down on any form of dissent against the new government was underway. These political and social outcasts, known as the Gray Order, sought to leave their neighbors in peace as they pursued dark arcane knowledge. The leaders of this outcast society were a married couple: Gregori Hastur, the Gray Warlock, and his wife Amoline, the Shadow Witch. Together they led an exodus of magicians and other intelligentsia from Noxus, resettling their followers beyond the Great Barrier to the northern reaches of the unforgiving Voodoo Lands. Though survival was a challenge at times, the Gray Order's colony managed to thrive in a land where so many others would have failed.Years after the exodus, Gregori and Amoline had a child: Annie. Early on, Annie's parents knew there was something special about their daughter. At the age of two, Annie miraculously ensorcelled a shadow bear - a ferocious denizen of the petrified forests outside the colony - turning it into her pet. To this day she keeps her bear ''Tibbers'' by her side, often keeping him spellbound as a stuffed doll to be carried like a child's toy. The combination of Annie's lineage and the dark magic of her birthplace have given this little girl tremendous arcane power. It is this same girl who now finds herself as one of the most sought-after champions within the League of Legends - even by the city-state that would have exiled her parents had they not fled beforehand. via League of Legends(I do love that her last name is Hastur, Lovecraft references <3)

Stormtrooper Inspired Makeup
Stormtroopers were the elite soldiers of the Galactic Empire. Like Imperial-class Star Destroyers and TIE fighters, stormtroopers served as ever present reminders of the absolute power of Emperor Palpatine. These faceless enforcers of the New Order were considered an extension of the Emperor's will, and thus they often used brutal tactics as a way to keep thousands ofstar systems throughout the galaxy in line. At the height of the Empire, stormtroopers had effectively become symbols of brutality and terror. With few exceptions, they were distinguished from all other military units by their signature white armor.
Used: MAC Polished Ivory over the lid, MUA number 1 above the crease and Maybelline Color Tattoo in Endless Black for the liner.
The looks this month have been fairly simple and graphic to go with the uniforms and simple colour schemes of the characters, but I've really liked doing them. Sometimes simple and graphic is a nice step away from all the blending.
and Bonus awesome art I found on a starwars wiki here

Darth Vader Inspired
Second week of the Dark Side of Beauty March Series challenge brings us your father the infamous Darth Vader, a voice recognised by fans and non-fans alike.
Once a Jedi Knight, Anakin Skywalker swore loyalty to Sith Lord Darth Sidious in order to gain the power of the dark side of the Force. Vader betrayed the Jedi Order and his Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. With the rise of the Galactic Empire, Darth Vader became the Emperor's dark enforcer. He carried out the Emperor's will, and commanded legions of Imperial troops. Vader was tasked with discovering the secret headquarters of the Rebel Alliance, as well as chasing down the Rebels who destroyed the Empire's massive Death Star battle station.
Lots of blacks from the infamous costume and a flash of red for the lightsaber. I actually really like this look, bit much for everyday wear though (not that that would have stopped me!).

Boba Fett Makeup
Boba Fett was a Mandalorian warrior and bounty hunter. He was a clone of the famed Jango Fett, created in 32 BBY as the first of many Fett replicas designed to become part of the Grand Army of the Republic, and was raised as Jango's son. Jango taught Boba much, training him to become a skilled bounty hunter as was his father-figure before him.I took inspiration from his armour, and of course I used the Victorian Disco shadow named after him.
Used: Victorian Disco The Fett over lid, Victorian Disco For the Horde as liner, Geek Chic Don't Blink for the 'scuffs', Fyrinnae Scarlet Macaw for eyebrows

January Theme Challenge: Hufflepuff
The second theme in the Dark Side of Beauty January Challenge is Hufflepuff. For this one I went way more subtle, just because to me the Hufflepuff house is way less showboaty than their Slytherin counterparts. Again I incorporated the house colours of black and yellow. I actually really liked this look, and would have happily worn it all day.
Used: Shiro Cornucopia in the center with Victorian Disco Halloweentown on the inner and outer corners and in the crease. Brows were rimmel brow pencil in hazel.
PS. Don't forget to enter my giveaway!

Silver liner is from George, glitter is a combination of Collection 2000 Glam Crystals and Victorian Disco Wazooo!. Rhinestones are from eBay.

Disney Villains: Maleficent
For Dark Side of Beauty's October Series Challenge, week 1. The Dragon was my favourite thing Maleficent did, I have a weakness for dragons, so I used that form as my inspiration
Sorry this is so small, I screwed up editing and can't make it bigger again.
Anyway, products used:
Fyrinnae Magical
Hedehog and Shiro Alkahestry on the lid, Darling Girl On-X in the crease and Shiro Rupee and Victorian Disco Wazooo glitter as liner

I fail at posting lately don't I?
Sorry.
What with work and photobucket flipping out on me I just needed a break.
I'm back now, I think.
Anyway, this is the latest look for Aqeela's challenge signature
I went for a purple smokey eye, combining my favourite colour and typical style together.
Used: Victorian Disco Eldar on inner corner, Darling Girl Sushi Flower and Shiro Shinigami in the centre, and Fyrinnae Mystical Hedgehog on the outer corner and crease. Liner is collection 2000 liquid and rimmel pencil, mascara is L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Excess.
And here, have a full face photo with my now very faded hair. Bah!
Are there any looks, colours or brands you want to see from me?
I'm pretty excited for the upcoming Victorian Disco Harry Potter collection, and the Darling Girl Halloween collection, as well as some recent releases from Geek Chic... How about you guys?

Comics Theme Challenge: Loki
This is a look I did for Aqeela's make up challenge this week:
I used Shiro Cosmetics There and Back Again for the green and Victorian Disco Cosmetics Sailor Galaxia for the gold. I even tried to mimic the horns on his helmet. The liner is Collection 2000 black liquid liner.
Right so, I know that isn't the comics Loki, it's the Marvel Movieverse. But, um, the only comics I've read are Johnny The Homocial Maniac, Gloomcookie and Hellboy/B.P.R.D. I just wasn't getting the inspiration from any of them. So yes, Loki, who is technically a comic character. And I adore the gold and green combination.
Please remember to go check out all of the other looks at Aqeela's blog

Prom Makeup
That I should have submitted to Aqeela's makeup challenge but I totally forgot. Please do go check out the super talented girls who actually submitted this week! You can see all of their looks here, I love Dejas, and Aqeela's was like mine [promise I didn't copy!]
I chose the colours from my Year 13 Leavers Do dress (hence the dorky picture next to it). Black and Blue are both from the MUA Starry Night palette, and the liner is Rimmel pencil.

Sailor Mercury
I did this for Toxid-Lotus's makeup challenge, you can see the other entries and this week's theme here
I really need to start writing down what I use. I know the white is MUA single in 1, and the symbol was drawn using George liner in metallic blue. I think the blue is Bubblebeam but don't quote me on that.
