Seventeen Phwoarr Paint Quickie Review

This little pot of concealer offers great coverage and a colour match on me. I love the little mirror in the lid as it means if needs be I could take this places with me to cover and go. I use my fingers to apply because I'm lazy and it's just quicker and easier for me, especially with the creamy formula. I do find this creases a little on me around midday (or that's when I notice at least) and sometimes the pot can be a bit stiff to open, though to be honest I find that with a lot of pots like this – maybe it's just a problem with me! However the biggest problem with this is the total lack of decent shade range, it comes in two shades – Light and Medium – both of which are fairly pale, so if your skin is on the darker end of the spectrum then you'd have to look elsewhere. This isn't a problem for me, I'm practically translucent, but it could be for many.
At £5.49 I think this is a great value for money concealer for fellow pale folks and a great alternative to the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer.

Available from Boots, online here or instore.

Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath

art used for banner is by dahlig, you can see the full series here

Wrath (Latin, ira), also known as "rage", may be described as inordinate and uncontrolled feelings of hatred and anger. Wrath, in its purest form, presents with self-destructiveness, violence, and hate that may provoke feuds that can go on for centuries. Wrath may persist long after the person who did another a grievous wrong is dead. Feelings of anger can manifest in different ways, including impatience, revenge, and self-destructive behavior, such as drug abuse or suicide.
Wrath is the only sin not necessarily associated with selfishness or self-interest, although one can of course be wrathful for selfish reasons, such as jealousy (closely related to the sin of envy). Dante described vengeance as "love of justice perverted to revenge and spite". In its original form, the sin of wrath also encompassed anger pointed internally as well as externally. Thus suicide was deemed as the ultimate, albeit tragic, expression of hatred directed inwardly, a final rejection of God's gifts.
The demon associated with this sin is Amon or Satan

Seven Deadly Sins Wrath Makeup

Used: Maybelline Colour Tattoo Endless Black as a base, with a black from the MUA Starry Night palette over it, red was For The Horde from Victorian Disco. Lips are 17 Hot Chilli and Shiro Me Gusta for the black. Lashes are a cheap Asda set, contacts are from Vassen.

I really liked the lips with this look, and the shape of the eyeshadow with the spikey lashes. It was great fun.

Four Horsemen of the Apocolypse: War

When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come and see!" Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.
War is the second horseman, he rides the red horse. So for this look I used a lot of reds, the gold is taken from Supernatural's War - he wears a gold ring. Plus I feel it really compliments the red. I really liked this look to be honest :)

Used: Victorian Disco Cosmetics Sailor Galaxia on the inner corner, Fyrinnae Scarlet Macaw over lid, Geek Chic Madness on the outer corner and crease, Geek Chic Hellfire above the crease, Collection 2000 Extreme liner in black, George gold liner. Lips are 17 Hot Chilli.

Few Looks From This Week

Just a couple of looks from this week, including a couple of challenge looks. I tried my best to remember what I've used but forgive me if I get anything wrong.

For Toxid-Lotus's weekly challenge, Spring theme.
I used daffodils as my inspiration for the colours because daffodils remind me of spring.
Products:
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Eternal Gold as a base, Shiro Chiefest of Calamities (orange in inner corner), Shiro Cornucopia (yellow across lid), Shiro Rupee (green in crease), MAC Polished Ivory (highlight), MUA gel liner in Underground,  George eyebrow pencil, Maybelline falsies mascara, 17 Hot Chilli lipstick.

For Aqeela's Makeup Tag Pink & Black
My pink looks very red, I have zero clue why.
Products Used:
Shiro Wheeeeeee! (pink on lid and in leopard print), unknown brand eyeshadow trio in Diamonds (black and white in crease and corners), MUA gel liner in Underground (liner and brows)

Inspired by Phyrra's Tangerine and Mint look using Shiro's Farore's Wind and Geek Chic's Captain Tightpants

Just some leopard print fun with a selection of Geek Chic shadows - Captain Tightpants, Antiquetarian, Antedelluvian and Madness [for the leopard print]

Toxid Lotus Makeup Challenge: I Heart Sharks

I love weekly makeup challenges. They're a cool way of getting inspiration and just mixing up what I do. This was particularly fun and quite challenging as I had no idea what kind of make up I could do for sharks!

For the Toxid Lotus Weekly Makeup Challenge
The shape was inspired by a sharks dorsal fin, and the colours were from sharks and the sea.
Products used:
Eyes:
Fyrinnae Work Safe Blue over lid
Shiro Bubblebeam in crease
MUA Gel Liner in Underground on top lid and Tribe on lower lashline
Rimmel White Kohl on waterline
Maybelline Falsies Mascara
George eyebrow pencil

Lips:
17 Lasting Fix lipstick in Hot Chilli

Face:
MUA Undress Your Skin foundation in Porcelain
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer in 1

This was great fun and I don't think I did the theme justice, but I do like my look and hopefully I'll be able to do the challenge again next week :)
